The Design:
Miles told us that his favorite place to watch the sunset is on Brighton Beach in his native UK. His "Breaking Waves" design attempts to capture that fleeting moment in its simplest form. As if placing the viewer on that very beach, Mile's scene depicts the sun sinking into the ocean surrounded by the beautiful geometry of nature.
The Charity:
On April 22, 1993 at the age of just 18, Stephen Lawrence was murdered in Southeast London in an unprovoked racist attack. After the initial police investigation, five suspects were arrested but not convicted. A public inquiry into the handling of Stephen's case was held in 1998, and led profound cultural changes in attitudes to racism, to the law and to police practice.
Stephen Lawrence Day was first celebrated in 2019 and takes place annually on 22 April, the date of Stephen's death. The Day is marked officially in the British calendar as a celebration of Stephen's life and legacy.
